The types of wood used are usually basswood, oak, maple, poplar, cedar, alder and pine. Each type will make the look and texture different. There are also two finishes available. Painted or stained. Exterior Shutters
A long time ago exterior shutters were used functionally to control ventilation and lighting as well as offer protection from the weather.
